At Learning with Parents, we recognise the profound impact of early childhood development on a child’s future. As we step into a new chapter, we are excited to outline our ambitious goals for our work supporting parental engagement in the Early Years.
Our plans for Early Years
Develop Inclusive Activities:
We will create a range of activities and support videos, suitable for children aged 0-5, that cater to diverse family backgrounds and needs.
Encourage Frequent Interactions:
The activities will be accessible, adaptable and designed to spark creativity, encouraging parents to regularly engage with their children’s interests.
Promote High-Quality Interactions:
We aim to give parents the knowledge and confidence to recognise and build upon the learning that is already happening in their daily interactions with their children.
Partnering with Peeple
We are thrilled to partner with Peeple on a new project that will enable us to develop our model in Early Years settings, working directly with families and Early Years practitioners to learn what works.
This partnership with Peeple brings a unique dimension to our offering. Families attending the Peep Learning Together sessions will also receive specially designed activities at home through the Learning with Parents platform. By combining use of our online parental engagement programme with Peeple’s in-person sessions, we can better understand how to support parents in the Early Years.
“We are delighted to be taking some early steps together with Learning with Parents to explore how digital content can enhance the Peep Learning Together Programme and put the brilliant platform developed by Learning with Parents to even greater use. We all have so much to learn!” Sally Smith, CEO, Peeple
Plans for the future
Looking ahead, we have set an ambitious target to support 100,000 children by 2027. These Early Years goals are a step towards ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential, right from the start.
