At Learning with Parents, user feedback is crucial to how we shape our programme, and we regulary survey our parent and teacher users throughout the school year. We love hearing all of the positive feedback we receive, it really helps us to know that what we’re doing is making a big difference in schools and families across the country. It also helps us to gain valuable insight in what we can do to improve our programme, and to reach the disadvantaged families that face the most barriers.
This year, our summer surveys were open from 5th May to 30th June to all parents and teachers who use the Learning with Parents programme. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to answer our questions. The feedback this term has been incredible and we can’t wait to share it.
This survey is the first one we have run since the addition of our passwordless login option. This allows parents to log reading and activities by following a “magic link” that we email to them. Our goal is always to remove as many of the barriers that parents face when engaging in their children’s education as possible, and we know that having to remember login details are a huge part of this.

Teacher survey results
We asked teachers to let us know how we were doing in terms of the support we give them, as well as how our programme affects their workload and the completion rate of our activities compared to traditional homework.
100% of teachers that answered our survey agreed on the following:
- That the resources we provided helped them engage families in the programme
- That our School Partnership Managers’ catch up calls were useful
- That they are happy with the support they receive from us
- That the impact summaries we provided gave a good overview of the programme’s impact in their school
When asked about teacher workload in their school, 67% of teachers agreed or strongly agreed that their workload was reduced compared to traditional homework.
I loved seeing the positive comments from teachers about the termly competitions we run, especially with Summer Superstars coming up soon!
“Thank you! I love Learning with Parents and the way it supports our families.”
“The site is easy to use and I love the certificates”
Parent survey results

We asked parents to let us know how user-friendly they find our website (especially with the new addition of the magic links), how they enjoy the activities, and to share some of their favourite family moments using Learning with Parents with us.
- 73% of parents agreed that the site was easy to use.
- 64% of parents agreed or strongly agreed that the magic links to access the site were easier than remembering a password.
- 73% of parents also agreed that they enjoy learning through the Learning with Parents website.
Our parents’ favourite part of the programme was a tie between our games and activities, and being able to find out more about what their child is learning about in school. This was closely followed by dressing up Mathscots with their children after completing the activities!
Our parents’ favourite part of the reading log was by far that they find it easier to log reading in the digital reading log than in paper reading logs. Our parents also loved recording audio clips, and reading school comments about how their child is reading at school.
Highlights
Some of my favourite quotes from parents when asked about their favourite part of the programme are:
“When me and my child couldn’t stop giggling”
“When I see my child smiling, playing and learning at the same time”
Some other great feedback from parents:
“I would like to say that your site is amazing for my child and their school”
“Thank you for this site, it has helped a lot throughout the year for me to follow what my child is doing in school and made Maths more fun for my child.”
“Thank you for making learning with parents user friendly. Parents do not need to struggle to remember password or login details. It’s easy to use.”
