We are delighted to announce a three-year partnership with IG Group, a leading global fintech, with the aim of addressing educational inequality in the UK by supporting parental engagement in learning. IG Group has donated £750,000, which will support 6,000 families across England, as well as enabling us to pilot a financial literacy offer for schools.
1.7 million children are currently living in poverty in the UK. These children are more likely to fall behind in education, creating a distinct achievement gap by the age of 11. Beyond that, these children are at greater future risk of becoming unemployed, having poor health, and ending up incarcerated.
June Felix, Global CEO of IG Group:
“Studies show that money habits are largely formed by age seven, increasing the chances of intergenerational struggles with financial literacy. Learning with Parents’ programs are constructed to complement school education by engaging parents as a vital part of a child’s sphere of influence.
We believe the private sector has a key role to play in addressing the obstacles that individuals face in obtaining educational resources, specifically in STEM subjects, which are the building blocks of financial literacy. We are thrilled to collaborate with Learning with Parents to enhance access to quality education resources for UK families. This collaboration is a critical connection between teachers, students, and parents to get better outcomes from our collective efforts.”s

Tom Harbour, CEO of Learning with Parents:
“At Learning with Parents, we know that having frequent, positive interactions at home plays a crucial role in a child’s education. This includes the development of the key foundational skills that underpin their financial literacy. We are delighted to be partnering with IG on this innovative project, exploring how marginalised families support positive money-habits and developing an impactful financial literacy programme for schools and families.“
