We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from The Dulverton Trust which will help us improve our support for disadvantaged families and to partner with more schools.
The Dulverton Trust is an independent grant-making charity that supports UK charities tackling a range of social issues. The largest part of their support work goes to charities that engage people from lower-income backgrounds and we are excited that their support will enable us to further develop our work with families facing the greatest barriers.
How will the funding help?
Develop a reading programme
As well as offering Maths and English with Parents to schools, we will now be able to develop a reading programme. We are excited by the potential to revolutionise how families are motivated and empowered to enjoy reading regularly together.
Most schools in the UK still use physical reading logbooks, which we know that only some parents ever fill out. Our platform will motivate families to read regularly, support parents with videos and activities to bring reading to life, and document what goes on with impact data, comments, and photos.
The pandemic has shone a brighter light on the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers and we are looking forward to using this funding to further support parents and getting closer to achieving a fair education for all.
Support more schools
At Learning with Parents, we have an ambitious vision that every child is supported at home to fulfil their potential. The funding from the Dulverton Trust will allow give us the opportunity to reach more schools in communities facing the biggest challenges.
